Serve small appetising meals with an emphasis on meat, eggs and vegetables. Some children prefer raw vegetables to boiled vegetables.
Milk is an excellent food, but it should be consumed in moderation. Half a litre a day is enough. Milk can lessen the appetite, and leave less room for other equally important foodstuffs.
Vitamins are not a substitute for foods. Do not use them unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not use desserts as a reward for eating.
Only serve desserts as part of your planned meal.
Do not let your child refuse to eat the food you serve, and do not replace it with other food such as chips or cornflakes etc.
