The Management and employees of YIOTIS S.A. mourn the loss of Vassilis Christodoulopoulos, their colleague of six decades and one of the most esteemed executives in the food industry.
Vassilis Christodoulopoulos was one of the oldest and most valuable YIOTIS S.A. executives, who contributed significantly to the development of the company and the creation of an expanded portfolio of innovative and pioneering JOTIS products.
A self-made man, he began his tenure at the company in 1958 as a packaging trainee in the Production Department, while simultaneously studying Political Science at Athens’ Panteion University. He went on to work in many company departments, evolving his professional career continuously.
In 1963 he took on the position of Sales Inspector and later Sales Manager, embracing the philosophy, vision and values of the founders of the company. The passion, innovative spirit and business acumen that were his trademarks, helped him make significant contributions to the development of innovative JOTIS products, which succeeded in conquering lead market positions, despite intense competition from many multinational company products.
In 1996, he was promoted to member of the Board of Directors and later assumed the duties of Legal Representative of the company.
In February 2020, as part of a corporate event celebrating the 90 year anniversary of YIOTIS S.A., Vassilis Christodoulopoulos was honoured with a special award for his 62 years of invaluable contribution to the company.
He will always be fondly remembered by the YIOTIS S.A. business family for his ethos, passion, love, faith, devotion and important contributions both to the company and the food sector as a whole.
